This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Collaborate with site/hub leadership to fulfill contractual obligations according to customer requirements and daily activities, which encompass any aspect of the electrical and mechanical equipment utilized in the GE wind turbine generator.
• Utilize a comprehensive understanding of variable pitch & speed turbines and converter components.
• Interpret, comprehend, and clarify schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety processes and regulations, as well as all relevant compliance requirements.
• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Assist in all facets of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal oversight, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct diagnostic analyses effectively and develop plans for prompt resolution.
• Record all work conducted using computer-based service reporting procedures and collaborate with GE Vernova’s remote operations center as needed.
• Support all areas of site operations as instructed by the manager and provide mentorship to peers.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Capability to pass Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Over 4 years of wind troubleshooting experience and at least 1 year in an EHS, SQC, or Lead role, or more than 5 years of wind troubleshooting experience.
• Must possess and uphold a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to manage repetitive weights of up to 50 lbs. and ascend towers reaching up to 300 feet daily.
• Meet specific manufacturer weight requirements, not exceeding 300 lbs. including necessary gear.
• Capability and readiness to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.
• Effectively prioritize tasks according to contractual commitments.
• Ability and readiness to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and be on-call based on site requirements.
• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary based on hub needs.
