Senior Wind Hub Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Hub Manager to fulfill contractual commitments according to customer specifications.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or parts replacements to resolve malfunctions.

• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.

• Assist in various aspects of site operations as instructed by the manager with minimal oversight, including daily scheduling, planning, technical development support, overall site leadership, and customer service.

• Carry out some diagnostic electrical evaluations.

• Record all tasks completed using computer-based service reporting systems.

• Coordinate with and respond to GE’s remote operations center as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment, and either a minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Wind Technician (Internal) or over 4 years of electrical and leadership experience (External).

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to lift repetitive weights of approximately 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet on a daily basis.

• Must adhere to specified manufacturer weight limits, not exceeding 300 lbs including necessary gear.

• Proficient in understanding electrical schematic diagrams, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.

• Willingness and capability to work in diverse environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry sites.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and be on-call based on site requirements.

• Experience in customer service with strong communication skills.
