This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Wind Hub Manager reports directly to the Service Director and holds a strategic position responsible for fostering long-term customer relationships, optimizing operations, managing finances, and ensuring hub safety.
• The overall responsibilities include leading a hub team, overseeing daily hub operations, and managing turbine output while exemplifying outstanding leadership, safety, quality control, and financial management.
• Provide leadership to facilitate a multi-site service hub.
• Initiate and support staffing needs, coaching, training, and implementing corrective actions for employees and contracted partners, including succession planning.
• Conduct daily Plan of the Day calls, which involve prioritizing and managing a dispatch schedule.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to develop long-term relationships with customers, achieving business objectives and fulfilling contractual obligations.
• Prioritize turbine performance to meet or exceed performance commitments.
• Oversee operations within a multi-site service hub, ensuring weekly visits to each site: Promote a safety-oriented culture, continue nurturing customer relationships, enhance team engagement, and support talent development.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field services or similar position within the energy sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the hub, which may include overnight stays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred technical certification in Wind Energy or in the Electrical/Electronic field.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, email programs, facility control and management systems, as well as computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in the wind turbine or energy sector.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems, including the use of hydraulic power tools.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment necessary for facility maintenance, along with a working knowledge of crane and rigging standards.
• Strong writing skills to fulfill contractual reporting requirements as necessary.
• In-depth understanding of Operations and Maintenance best practices, including planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling wind hub activities, enhancing productivity, and achieving operational excellence in outage management.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, capacity to adapt to change, and the ability to influence others.
• Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability, willingness, and flexibility to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
