Senior Website Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of Drupal and/or WordPress build and support projects, including intricate, high-profile accounts.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and a trusted advisor.

• Convert client business requirements for internal teams while ensuring alignment.

• Manage client communication, meetings, feature demonstrations, updates, and subsequent action items.

• Identify significant project and initiative possibilities and provide recommendations to Management.

• Comprehend managed websites and proactively suggest enhancements.

• Lead project and client onboarding, kickoff discussions, and transitions from build to support.

• Organize and maintain structured, prioritized backlogs.

• Assess tasks and client inquiries against objectives and scope, offering alternatives when necessary.

• Execute quick-win site configurations, content entry, and initial bug resolution in Drupal and/or WordPress.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address obstacles and anticipate requirements.

• Forecast and coordinate efforts of developers, UX/UI designers, and strategists.

• Review completed designs, tickets, content, and development work for quality assurance prior to handoff.

• Track and predict budgets and timelines, providing updates to clients and Management.

• Identify, mitigate, triage, and escalate risks and urgent support requests.

• Utilize Teamwork, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Claude.

• Participate in and facilitate meetings, standups, retrospectives, and discussions on process improvement.

• Monitor workloads and progress to ensure a sustainable team balance.

• Develop and document repeatable processes.

• Mentor and assist other project managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of project management experience in a digital agency, including leading Drupal and/or WordPress projects.

• Demonstrated success in managing the complete life cycle of web build projects and long-term client support engagements.

• Proficient in agile workflows, ticketing systems, and client documentation.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude.

• Practical experience in troubleshooting bugs, handling site configurations, and managing content in Drupal and/or WordPress.

• Solid understanding of website performance, configuration, and development principles.

• Capable of balancing scope, timelines, and budgets while upholding quality and team morale.

• Exceptional time management abilities.

• Experience in forecasting and resourcing needs for development projects.

• Skilled in setting clear priorities and effectively communicating changes.

• Proactive, empathetic, and confident communication skills.

• Competent in managing multiple active projects with keen attention to detail.

• Solution-focused mindset towards risk mitigation, issue tracking, change management, and escalations.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, emotional intelligence, and initiative.

• Experience mentoring or guiding project managers or team members.

• Enthusiastic about web technologies and open-source software like Drupal and WordPress.

• Background in managing distributed project teams within a remote-first environment.

• Availability during core Pacific Time Zone hours.
