This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Oversee a portfolio of projects involving Drupal and/or WordPress builds and support, including complex, high-profile accounts.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Convey client business requirements to internal teams effectively.
• Discover opportunities for larger projects and initiatives.
• Suggest enhancements to websites.
• Facilitate client meetings, feature presentations, updates, and next-step communications.
• Cultivate client relationships to support renewals and account expansion.
• Lead onboarding processes, kickoff calls, and transitions between build and support phases.
• Keep project backlogs organized and prioritized.
• Assess tasks and requests in relation to project objectives and scope.
• Manage quick-win site configurations, content entry, and initial bug troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address obstacles and anticipate needs.
• Plan and coordinate resources, including developers, UX/UI designers, and strategists.
• Evaluate completed designs, tickets, content, and development work for quality assurance.
• Monitor and predict budgets and timelines.
• Report on project progress and hours worked to clients and management.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks as well as urgent support issues.
• Utilize tools such as Teamwork, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Claude.
• Leverage AI for drafting communications, summarizing meetings, writing tickets, and preparing status updates.
• Engage in and lead meetings, standups, retrospectives, and process enhancements.
• Supervise workloads to ensure sustainable team pacing.
• Develop repeatable processes and mentor fellow project managers.
• At least 5 years of project management experience within a digital agency, specifically leading Drupal and/or WordPress projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing the complete life cycle of web build projects and long-term client support engagements.
• Proficiency in agile workflows, ticketing systems, and documentation for clients.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting bugs, handling site configurations, and managing content in Drupal and/or WordPress.
• Strong understanding of website performance, configuration, and development principles.
• Capability to balance scope, timelines, and budgets while upholding quality and team morale.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Experience in forecasting and allocating resources for development project needs.
• Skill in setting priorities and communicating changes effectively.
• Proactive, empathetic, and confident communication abilities.
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Solution-focused approach to risk management, issue tracking, change management, and escalations.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, emotional intelligence, and initiative.
• Experience mentoring or guiding project managers or team members.
• Passion for Drupal, WordPress, and open-source software.
• Experience in managing distributed project teams in a remote-first setting.
• Availability during core Pacific Time Zone hours.
