Senior Web3 Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and sustain modern, adaptive frontend applications that are integrated with blockchain protocols for essential DeFi products such as exchanges.

• Connect with blockchain infrastructure (e.g., EVM chains, Fuel VM), wallet extensions (MetaMask, Phantom, WalletConnect), and on-chain data sources (e.g., subgraphs, indexers).

• Create secure user flows for transactions, multi-signature approvals, cross-chain bridging, and account abstraction.

• Collaborate on API design (REST/GraphQL), optimize RPC, and formulate indexer queries for real-time data access.

• Establish the frontend architecture, design systems, and implement Web3 best practices (testing with Hardhat/Foundry, gas optimization, reentrancy guards, accessibility).

• Conduct code reviews (including Solidity/Sway), mentor engineers, and influence technical decisions regarding stack interoperability and scalability.

• Convert intricate DeFi requirements (e.g., MEV protection, oracle feeds) into user-friendly UI/UX for trading interfaces.

• Actively identify technical debt in smart contracts or frontend, suggest improvements (e.g., account abstraction), and influence the technical direction of the product roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role focused on building Web3 or blockchain applications.

• In-depth knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue) utilizing TypeScript/JavaScript, alongside Web3 libraries (ethers.js, viem, wagmi).

• Extensive experience with complex, data-intensive dapps that manage real-time streams (e.g., order books, AMM curves).

• Demonstrated skills in blockchain integration: connecting browser wallets and managing signing & on-chain interactions through providers (Alchemy, Infura) and libraries for reads/writes/calls.

• Strong understanding of web3 security (private key management, blind signing risks, phishing, sandwich attacks).

• Backend experience with node services (e.g., Express, FastAPI), off-chain indexers (The Graph), and event listening.

• Proficient in REST/GraphQL, data fetching (SWR, TanStack Query), and state management (Zustand, Redux) in dynamic crypto environments.

• Exceptional collaboration skills in fast-paced, autonomous teams using tools such as GitHub, Linear, and Discord/Slack.

• Preferably, experience at a CEX/DEX (e.g., Uniswap, Fuel's O2, KuCoin integrations).

• Experience in building trading UIs (order books, candlestick charts via TradingView/Lightweight Charts, positions, PnL calculators).

• Performance optimization for high-throughput DeFi applications (sub-ms latency, WebSockets for order flow).

• Previous experience in DeFi/fintech involving tokenomics, liquidity mining, or working with audited protocols.

• Familiarity with design systems (e.g., RainbowKit, Wagmi connectors) and development tools (Vite, esbuild, Foundry for end-to-end tests).
