Senior Water and Wastewater Engineer – Industrial Environmental

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversees a team of engineers in the planning and development of design documentation within the designated engineering discipline.

• Coordinates the efforts of junior professional and technical staff; may also supervise entry-level personnel.

• Manages and may engage in the preparation of process design calculations, formulates cost estimates, and conducts economic analyses to compare various options.

• Develops the project's scope of work; establishes the project schedule; prepares documentation for project initiation; oversees budget evaluations and schedules progress updates.

• Collaborates with other Olsson teams on project coordination; manages and integrates design elements of projects; guides team members on design assignments; maintains project documentation (correspondence, drawings, and files); liaises with clients and attends client meetings.

• Oversees the creation of technical reports, memos, and summaries to effectively convey findings to clients and internal teams.

• Acts as the project manager for assigned projects.

• Works alongside project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that project deliverables are achieved on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.

• Aids in marketing and business development efforts, as well as prepares project proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in environmental or civil engineering, particularly in water/wastewater treatment, lift stations, pump stations, and various environmental design projects; experience in the industrial sector is preferred.

• Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Expertise in engineering tools, software, and methodologies.

• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
