Senior VxWorks Developer – DO-178, Safety-Critical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the design, implementation, and validation of embedded software, including Board Support Packages (BSP) for both custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) embedded hardware systems.

• Engage in the design, implementation, and testing of software drivers for a range of peripheral devices typically utilized in embedded hardware systems.

• Create hardware test code and provide support for the bring-up and validation of tailored embedded hardware systems.

• Collaborate in the creation of technical plans and detailed statements of work to estimate the effort required and identify necessary team skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• A 4-year technical degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software design, ideally with VxWorks and Linux.

• Proficiency in low-level embedded software development (such as BSPs and device drivers), including debugging and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with embedded software development environments (for example, Workbench, Eclipse).
