Senior Virtualization Administrator

📋 Description

• **Responsibilities:**

• **• Primary duties encompass architecture design, complex troubleshooting, managing upgrades and migrations, implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies, automation, and offering mentorship to junior team members.**

⛳️ Requirements

• **The Virtualization Administrator II is tasked with, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:**

• **• Designing, constructing, implementing, and troubleshooting information systems hosted on VMware, AWS, and Azure.**

• **• Delivering technical support for both existing and upcoming virtualization technologies while aiding in the planning and execution of related technology projects and initiatives.**

• **• Supervising the installation, configuration, and upkeep of virtual machines (VMs), virtual infrastructure, and physical infrastructure (which includes rack mounting and hardware setup).**

• **• Monitoring the performance of virtual environments and optimizing resource allocation to guarantee smooth operation.**

• **• Identifying and resolving issues associated with virtualization, including VM performance, connectivity, and security.**

• **• Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments.**

• **• Safeguarding the security of virtual environments by applying patches, updates, and mandatory/recommended security configurations.**

• **• Keeping comprehensive documentation of virtualization configurations, procedures, and policies.**

• **• Collaborating closely with other IT teams to address virtualization needs and integrate virtual solutions with other systems.**

• **• Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.**
