This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on video games to identify bugs and other quality issues, aiding QA processes.

• Confirm improvements and the resolution of defects.

• Investigate and advocate for tools and methodologies that enhance product quality.

• Assess the quality regression of each sprint's build.

• Test games across different hardware and platforms.

• Engage in the creation, organization, and execution of Test Plans and Test Cases.

• Generate and contribute to reports on product quality.

• Act as a customer advocate, emphasizing quality and value.

• Provide insights and innovative solutions across design, programming, narrative, art, and audio disciplines.

• Collaborate with the development team regarding progress, issues, timelines, and expectations.

• Support both internal and external testing initiatives.

• Manage and prioritize tasks to adhere to deadlines, schedules, and budgets.

• Participate in relevant team meetings, such as daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint planning, and showcase gatherings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in testing narrative or turn-based video games on PCs and consoles.

• Knowledge of best practices in video game testing.

• Familiarity with a wide variety of video game titles and genres.

• Knowledge of contemporary video game UI and UX standards.

• Proficient in conducting historical research.

• Self-motivated, disciplined, and proactive.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working quickly or meticulously as required.

• Proficient in giving and receiving constructive feedback.

• Effective in collaborating with diverse personalities and backgrounds.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and cross-disciplinary professionalism.

• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.

• Capable of managing and prioritizing tasks within deadlines, schedules, and budgets.

• Flexible and able to assume various roles as needed.

• Proficient in remote work using collaboration tools.

• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.

• Genuine passion for the video game industry.

• Experience using Unity for testing games within the engine.

• Proficient in productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.

• Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and techniques.

• Must reside in the USA or Canada within UTC-4 to UTC-8 time zones.

• H-1B transfers and sponsorships are not available.
