This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Transform creative ideas into actionable production strategies.
• Develop detailed production schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Recognize production risks early and proactively create mitigation plans.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships among creative teams.
• Oversee production logistics such as location scouting, permits, crew scheduling, equipment rentals, talent coordination, travel logistics, call sheets, production insurance, and tracking deliverables.
• Manage post-production schedules, including editing, color correction, audio, motion graphics, and final asset delivery.
• Uphold accounting practices across various projects.
• Provide frequent and transparent budget updates to the Executive Producer.
• Collaborate with the Finance department on accounting and payment processes.
• Establish and maintain production protocols, processes, and best practices.
• Monitor both short and long-term financial objectives.
• Track spending during production and ensure financial accountability.
• Identify cost-saving measures while preserving creative quality.
• Reconcile project budgets after completion.
• Recruit and supervise freelance teams for each project, as well as arrange necessary locations and equipment.
• Manage project-related logistics and facilitate communication between freelancers and the internal marketing team.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently while keeping cross-functional decks and documents current.
• Develop standardized production workflows and documentation.
• Sustain long-term relationships with freelancers, vendors, and suppliers for production-related needs.
• Manage client and external relationships on brand partnership projects.
• Establish long-term strategic partnerships with external collaborators.
• Ensure alignment between creative vision and production feasibility.
• Lead production meetings and provide status updates.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and critical decisions to stakeholders.
• Work within budget constraints and resources to devise creative solutions alongside the internal creative team.
• Collaborate with key crew members to make the impossible achievable.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance and improve existing systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media Production, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 8+ years of production experience, with a background as a Line Producer or Production Manager required.
• 3 years of experience as a Producer required.
• Preferred experience in an in-house production company or agency, with knowledge of best accounting practices and budget management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from pre-production to delivery.
• Proven capability to operate effectively within budget limitations and established corporate protocols.
• Proficient in industry-standard budgeting software (e.g., Hotbudget, Showbiz, Moviemagic).
• Familiar with Asana and have working knowledge of the Adobe CC suite preferred.
• Understanding of professional filmmaking equipment and camera systems.
• Required familiarity with local resources in the Los Angeles area, with preferred knowledge of national/international options.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment that demands advanced problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving opportunities for improvement.
• Self-starter capable of operating autonomously in a fast-paced, lean environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), as well as Slack.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% is required.
