This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Effectively carries out leadership duties, demonstrating strong communication skills and relationship management.
• Play a key role in identifying and attracting top-tier talent.
• Oversee and strategize one or more programs and/or complex projects along with their Operations.
• Mentor, develop, and supervise team members and/or direct reports, acting as Team Lead.
• Act as Team Lead for capital planning and dedicated accounts, ensuring successful implementation and fostering innovation of new concepts and ideas to enhance service quality.
• Responsible for client service on their projects and those of their team and/or direct reports, adept at managing challenging and intricate conversations.
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships by managing fiduciary responsibilities for JLL and the client.
• Oversee the successful development and execution of P&L team strategy, aligning it with the PDS business strategy.
• Responsible for the creation and implementation of best practices that bolster the Firm’s capabilities.
• Participate in and/or attend local and regional industry conferences to enhance the reputation and public image of the business and personal brand.
• Source new clients and nurture existing business relationships, lead or assist in pursuing strategies, and secure new business opportunities.
• Possess advanced subject matter expertise in industry-specific requirements and their implications for design and construction work.
• Obtain and maintain industry-recognized credentials and/or certifications.
• Represent JLL at industry-specific events, conferences, and media as a content contributor.
• Manage client and on-account teams’ expectations effectively, instilling confidence through clear, concise, and proactive communication.
• Communicate effectively with and engage PDS leads, knowing when to involve or escalate issues.
• Stay updated on changes to PDS processes, systems, and reporting, and contribute to strategic client initiatives.
• Adhere to the revenue generation requirements of the PDS business in accordance with your role.
• Travel requirement: approximately 25%, which may vary.
• Collaborate with global capital planning teams.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Aggregate and translate outputs into marketable deliverables (e.g., Case Studies, White Papers, and quarterly metrics).
• Have a conceptual understanding of theories, practices, and procedures within project cost management.
• Proven ability to perform structured work assignments competently.
• Capability to utilize existing procedures to resolve routine or standard issues.
• Ability to receive instructions, guidance, and direction from more senior-level roles.
• Over 10 years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, Capital Planner, or in a similar capacity.
• Familiarity with Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or other estimating software.
• Hold a professional certification in project management (e.g., AACE, RICS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects at once.
• Understanding of procurement and tendering processes.
