This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Deliver the models that drive tailored in-app experiences by anticipating each member's next desires based on real-time behaviors, family context, and engagement history.
• Identify significant trends in product usage data — including communication, scheduling, and activity signals — and construct models that transform these trends into in-app recommendations, alerts, and guidance for families.
• Assist in transitioning from fixed-placement UI logic to algorithmic decision-making that adapts each time the app is accessed.
• Create churn, retention, and activation models that enable the Product team to understand which behaviors forecast long-term value and which interventions are worthwhile to implement.
• Develop predictive segmentation, propensity, and uplift models that are continuously updated through automated pipelines, ensuring the business operates on the latest signals.
• Collaborate with Finance on cohort-level subscriber and revenue forecasting, lifetime value by acquisition source, and sensitivity analysis on critical assumptions.
• Construct pricing, promotional, and refund-risk models that evaluate the financial implications of monetization decisions before they are executed.
• Train, deploy, and oversee models in Databricks and AWS, utilizing Claude Code as the primary engineering interface.
• When appropriate, encapsulate models in managed agents that integrate predictions into the existing workflows of stakeholders.
• Shift the team's focus from "what happened" to "what could happen" through uplift modeling, geo-tests, and A/B analysis grounded in sound causal framing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering predictive models in production, preferably in areas such as personalization, behavioral prediction, lifecycle machine learning, or subscription forecasting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Databricks and AWS.
• Proven track record with subscription or consumer app metrics — including lifetime value, churn, retention, activation, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of experimental and causal methodologies (A/B testing, Difference in Differences, uplift modeling, geo-tests, or similar approaches).
• Commitment to production rigor — including feature pipelines, model monitoring, and retraining schedules.
• Medical: In Tandem covers 100% of the premium for employees and 99% for additional family members.
• 401k: Offers up to a 4% match with immediate vesting.
