πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Establish the long-term vision and strategy for data science focused on ads measurement, signal quality, identity, attribution, and privacy. Define the evaluation methods for advertiser value, measurement quality, and signal utility across both first-party and third-party products.

β€’ Develop comprehensive frameworks for validating lift, attribution, identity quality, modeled conversions, signal loss recovery, and privacy-aware measurement. Outline ground truths, objective functions, quality metrics, guardrails, and decision frameworks to steer product and engineering investments.

β€’ Spearhead the advancement of Reddit's experimentation and lift methodologies, including Brand Lift, Conversion Lift, Split Testing, and new measurement products. Enhance study quality, minimize bias and contamination, and create scalable diagnostics for experiment health, feasibility, and interpretability. Collaborate with Ads Engineering to implement complex causal models, ensuring scientific methodologies are accurate, efficient, scalable, and resilient in high-throughput production settings.

β€’ Measure the impact of signal quality, match rates, identity resolution, modeled conversions, and privacy changes on bidding efficiency, CPA, ROAS, and advertiser outcomes. Work in partnership with modeling and ranking teams to convert measurement enhancements into performance improvements.

β€’ Champion a privacy-centric measurement framework, positioning Reddit as a leader in trusted advertising by optimizing signal utility through compliant modeling practices.

β€’ Drive cross-organizational initiatives to establish reusable methodologies, dashboards, scorecards, quality metrics, and best practices. Create repeatable systems that enhance how Ads DS assesses launches, tracks regressions, sizes opportunities, and communicates impacts.

β€’ Collaborate with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing Science, Legal/Privacy, and Ads leadership to influence roadmap decisions. Simplify complex scientific trade-offs into straightforward business and product recommendations.

β€’ Provide mentorship to Staff and Senior data scientists, champion impactful technical projects, and elevate standards in causal inference, measurement science, identity evaluation, data quality, and cross-functional decision-making within Ads DS.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ An advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

β€’ Over 10 years of experience in data science, applied science, economics, statistics, or a similar quantitative role.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of ads measurement, experimentation, causal inference, attribution, marketplace measurement, or ads optimization.

β€’ A demonstrated history of leading ambiguous, cross-functional, multi-faceted problem spaces with measurable business outcomes.

β€’ Strong expertise in statistical modeling, experimental design, causal inference, and measurement methodologies.

β€’ Experience in defining metrics, evaluation frameworks, quality guardrails, and decision systems for complex products.

β€’ Proven capability to balance a long-term strategic vision with the hands-on execution of intricate technical concepts.

β€’ Advanced skills in SQL and Python or R.

β€’ Ability to influence senior leaders in product, engineering, and business through clear technical judgment and communication.

β€’ Track record of mentoring senior individual contributors and enhancing technical standards within a data science organization.

β€’ Agility in leveraging AI tools to enhance personal productivity, transforming complex methodologies into effective prototypes with modern efficiency.

β€’ Experience with ads identity, conversion modeling, signal loss, modeled conversions, match-rate optimization, or identity graph evaluation.

β€’ Familiarity with lift measurement, brand lift, conversion lift, incrementality testing, MMM, MTA, or third-party measurement collaborations.

β€’ Background in privacy-constrained measurement, clean rooms, aggregation, consent-aware systems, or privacy-preserving modeling.

β€’ Previous partnership experience with ranking, bidding, or machine learning teams to link measurement quality with optimization results.

β€’ Understanding of two-sided marketplaces, auction systems, performance advertising, or advertiser-facing measurement products.

β€’ Experience in developing robust internal frameworks, training programs, scorecards, or methodology standards that are embraced across an organization.
