Senior Vantage Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in front-end development initiatives with an emphasis on data visualization and user interfaces driven by analytics.

• Create, update, and sustain front-end code for web applications that deliver insights from data science and predictive analytics.

• Design, write, and implement efficient, reusable, and dependable code using HTML5, JavaScript, Python, and R.

• Incorporate UI/UX designs into user-friendly interfaces and web application front-ends utilizing React.js, focusing on engaging data visualizations.

• Act as a liaison between data science outputs and user-facing applications, transforming complex analytical findings into intuitive interfaces.

• Spearhead the integration of AI/ML functionalities into applications, pinpointing chances to utilize advanced AI technologies.

• Advocate for AI-centered development techniques and mentor the team in executing AI/ML features and data-informed experiences.

• Offer technical guidance and enhance the team's expertise at the intersection of front-end development and data science.

• Lead discussions on architecture and provide strategic direction regarding technology adoption, data integration, and visualization methodologies.

• Identify and pursue avenues to broaden development projects with Army stakeholders.

• Collaborate effectively with data scientists, UX designers, and software developers utilizing Git, engaging in code reviews and applying Agile practices.

• Consult with Army managers and representatives to assess software requirements, investigate innovative data-driven solutions, including AI applications, and cultivate strategic relationships that enhance our development presence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in front-end development with knowledge of data science workflows and analytics.

• Proficiency with the Palantir Foundry platform for data integration and application development.

• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Plotly, Recharts, or similar).

• Experience with React.js and creating interactive, data-driven user interfaces.

• Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and analysis (pandas, numpy, or similar).

• Knowledge of R and Shiny for statistical computing and interactive applications is advantageous.

• Proven experience in planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software applications for enterprise-level systems.

• Understanding of Git, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and automated deployment processes.

• Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, providing technical mentorship, or managing client relationships.

• Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
