Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage a growing team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) focused on strategic enterprise accounts.

• Take ownership of what defines an exceptional FDE engagement, maintaining close involvement to escalate issues, provide coaching, and adjust strategies in real-time.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, responsible for project delivery as well as managing the daily relationship.

• Discover and define new business opportunities.

• Develop our partner FDE program by training and empowering Global System Integrators (GSI) and consulting partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in leading technical teams that build and deploy in production, such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a comparable role involving coding and code review.

• Proficient in software development with coding experience in Python, Javascript, or Typescript.

• Demonstrated experience in building and managing AI-native workflows in a production environment, with a track record of debugging genuine model failures rather than just working with prototypes.

• Ability to quickly assess a complex enterprise engineering environment, pinpoint the most impactful intervention, and outline a significant engagement.

• Proven experience in constructing and scaling individual contributor-level technical teams, with a clear understanding of what excellence entails in the field, including precise scoping, effective delivery, and knowledge retention post-engagement.
