Senior UX/UI Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of user experience and interface for a comprehensive Salesforce-based service modernization initiative supporting a state motor vehicles agency client.

• Develop UX/UI solutions utilizing the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).

• Standardize legacy transaction workflows into cohesive, reusable UI patterns.

• Create, manage, and oversee a design system utilized by various development teams.

• Conduct user research and interpret findings through qualitative analysis and synthesis.

• Generate interaction designs, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications for development implementation.

• Implement digital accessibility standards and evaluate interfaces for compliance.

• Document design patterns, component usage, and governance decisions.

• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders on functional and technical requirements.

• Review deployed interfaces against design system standards and identify any discrepancies.

• Offer design direction to designers and development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of full-time equivalent experience with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS); general experience with the Salesforce platform or Salesforce Marketing Cloud does not meet this criterion.

• A minimum of one successfully executed project resulting in full implementation and operational completion, normalizing around 200 workflows into uniform user interface patterns.

• Experience in establishing, maintaining, and governing a design system used concurrently by multiple independent development teams.

• Proficient understanding of digital accessibility standards and their application in interface design.

• Capability to document cited project experience with start and end dates, detailed descriptions, and accessible professional references for client compliance verification.

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; qualifying experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

• Three or more years of experience in digital design, user research, qualitative analysis and synthesis, and interaction design.

• All cited experience must have occurred within the last fifteen years and be documentable in full-time month equivalents.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorships available.

• Preferred: Salesforce Certified User Experience Designer credential.

• Preferred: IAAP CPACC or WAS certification.

• Preferred: prior experience supporting a state department of motor vehicles or similar state agency engagement.
