This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the Project Discovery process.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather insights.
• Convert research findings and client feedback into actionable design directives.
• Evaluate qualitative and quantitative data sets to formulate significant recommendations that align user and business objectives.
• Perform UX, content, and design audits and communicate your findings to both internal and client teams.
• Execute and consolidate actionable insights from user research and testing.
• Develop Information Architecture and content strategy:
• Integrate information architecture, navigation, and sitemap strategies.
• Conduct content audits and identify gaps in the existing material.
• Create tone, voice, and taxonomies to guide content production.
• Demonstrate an understanding of how content strategy influences design.
• Generate visual design and strategy artifacts, including but not limited to:
• Wireframes.
• Page templates.
• Interactive prototypes.
• Full-fidelity visual compositions.
• UI component libraries and either static or interactive responsive design systems.
• Engage in Sales and Marketing activities.
• Serve as a senior creative voice during sales discussions.
• Assist in identifying client goals, risks, constraints, and opportunities during pre-sales discovery.
• Contribute design and strategic insights to proposals, estimates, scopes, and project methodologies.
• Enhance Kanopi's thought leadership through webinars, blog posts, case studies, conference ideas, or educational materials.
• Senior-level, hands-on UX/UI design experience with complex, content-rich websites, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing your process from discovery and strategy to high-fidelity visual design.
• Proficient in visual design skills, including layout, typography, hierarchy, brand application, responsive design, and accessible UI patterns.
• Advanced skills in Figma, covering prototyping, design systems, component workflows, and creating client-ready presentation files.
• Extensive knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, information architecture, and content experience principles.
• Proven experience in a creative agency setting.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of adapting your message for designers, developers, and clients, making complex concepts accessible and actionable for each audience.
• A collaborative approach to solving intricate creative and strategic challenges, focusing on practical, thoughtful solutions.
• Nice to have:
• Coding skills.
