This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design an engaging UX/UI for our IT monitoring software, Checkmk, ensuring it is both consistent and accessible.
• Simplify intricate workflows and technical concepts into intuitive, user-friendly solutions.
• Manage complexity behind the scenes, enabling users to achieve their goals smoothly and efficiently.
• Apply usability best practices and design patterns to develop user flows and wireframes informed by user stories and research insights, collaborating closely with product management, development, and users.
• Strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality to produce clean, user-centered interfaces.
• Contribute to and enhance our design system to maintain visual consistency, accessibility, and scalability throughout the product.
• Collect feedback and insights from users through surveys, interviews, usability tests, and informal conversations to gain a deep understanding of user behaviors, needs, and challenges.
• Transform findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with product teams and the UX team to integrate user research insights into the design process, fostering data-driven decisions that improve the user experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in UX/UI, HCI, media communications, or a related field, or a certification such as CPUX-F, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in UX/UI or product design, preferably in a data-intensive B2B software sector.
• A strong passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• A willingness to tackle complex problems in challenging environments.
• Proficiency in leading user interviews and usability tests in English; ability to conduct them in German is a plus.
• Familiarity with design and whiteboarding tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, and Figjam.
• An openness to leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity without sacrificing quality.
• Enthusiasm for engaging in a highly technical software domain and translating complex functionalities into intuitive user experiences.
• Comfort working in a Linux environment.
• Experience in contributing to and evolving design systems.
• Nice to have: Experience working in a SCRUM environment with Jira.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Limesurvey or similar online survey tools.
