This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete discovery and design process for solutions related to emergency response, communications, and incident management.
• Spearhead design discovery efforts involving customers, internal users, and stakeholders, amalgamating feedback, usability insights, and product data to pinpoint significant experience opportunities.
• Balance the needs of users with operational realities, accessibility, scalability, and technical feasibility.
• Guide design choices utilizing customer insights, an understanding of workflows, usability testing, and product data.
• Convert user needs and business objectives into well-defined user flows, journey maps, prototypes, interaction patterns, and design specifications.
• Develop a profound understanding of urgent, high-stress operational response environments and the users who depend on them.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver critical capabilities and user-focused experiences.
• Aid in prioritization decisions by advocating for user impact, workflow complexity, accessibility, design quality, and system consistency.
• Effectively communicate design direction, trade-offs, and progress to stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations.
• Establish and monitor experience success metrics, using insights to inform iterations and ongoing improvements.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination for product releases and launches, ensuring successful implementation, rollout, and adoption by both customer and internal teams.
• A minimum of 7 years in UX Design, Product Design, or a related field, with experience leading complex software design projects independently from discovery to delivery.
• Background in designing intricate workflows, enterprise tools, operational systems, or other high-impact user experiences where clarity, speed, reliability, and accessibility are essential.
• Capability to swiftly grasp users, environments, workflows, and constraints; familiarity with products that integrate software, hardware, physical environments, or real-world operations is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, employing a research- and data-driven approach to transform ambiguity into clear user flows, interaction models, prototypes, and design direction.
• Demonstrated success in effectively partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and cross-functional stakeholders, including articulating design rationale, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
• Strong expertise in modern design, prototyping, and collaboration tools; knowledge of responsible AI-assisted workflows is a plus.
• Comfort in a high-growth environment that features shifting priorities, imperfect information, and a necessity for practical decision-making.
• Occasional travel may be required for internal meetings, customer interactions, or industry events.
