Senior Utilization Management Assistant – Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• The Utilization Management Coordinator, under the guidance of the Regional Director of Care Management, plays a vital role in supporting the Care Management team responsible for coordinating patient care.

• This role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team and entails executing complex tasks associated with the overall functions and activities identified during both the initial and ongoing patient assessment and management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Hospital, Clinical setting, or a related Healthcare field.

• At least 3 years of proven exceptional customer service experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of clerical and computer experience.

• At least 3 years of knowledge in insurance billing and managed care practices.

• Coursework/Training: Completion of some college-level coursework or possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; college coursework in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance is preferred.

• Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant training or equivalent education/experience.

• Coursework/Training: CHAA certification or equivalent education/experience.

• Candidates must obtain CHAA certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire if located in California.

• At least 3 years of experience with EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access.
