Senior Underwriter – Stop Loss Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluates the eligibility of new group risk.

• Creates proposals.

• Conducts pre-reviews for new groups and rate assessments for renewals.

• May handle and finalize ERISA reporting.

• Provides training and guidance to less experienced underwriters.

• Acts as a liaison with other departments regarding underwriting matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of underwriting experience.

• Strong organizational, customer service, and both oral and written communication skills.

• Exceptional mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.

• Sound judgment.

• Capability to manage confidential or sensitive information with care.

• Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

• In-depth understanding of underwriting and risk principles and their application.

• Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.
