Senior Underwriter, E&S Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist agents and brokers in securing General Liability insurance coverage.

• Assess and analyze risks for acceptability in accordance with underwriting guidelines and specific risk characteristics.

• Oversee a profitable portfolio of General Liability business, including the evaluation of new business, renewal transactions, and mid-term endorsements.

• Fulfill deliverables for quoting and binding business in line with Service Level Commitments.

• Function within a specified authority statement.

• Apply sound underwriting judgment concerning pricing, forms, applications, deductibles, and more.

• Operate autonomously with minimal support, occasionally referring business to the Senior Vice President of underwriting.

• Guide and develop junior underwriters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in insurance underwriting, whether in retail, wholesale, or within an insurance company.

• Experience with General Liability and/or Primary/Excess Liability.

• Bachelor's degree and/or pertinent industry certifications or experience is preferred.
