Senior UICC/eUICC/eSIM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete engineering and validation process for SGP.22 and SGP.32 eSIM products, which includes reviewing profile designs and converting product requirements into technical specifications.

• Develop and implement certification and validation strategies utilizing GSMA artefacts such as SAIP and BAP.

• Perform interoperability testing in both lab settings and real-world environments across various devices and networks.

• Analyze and resolve intricate issues that span SIM, device, and network layers.

• Offer root cause analysis and facilitate solutions in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

• Act as the technical liaison for remote provisioning platforms, including SMDP+ and eIM, as well as SIM/eUICC vendors.

• Establish acceptance criteria and assist in making go/no-go decisions for production deployment.

• Generate technical documentation that includes test reports, defect analyses, and certification status for Product, Support, and Customer-facing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in SIM/eSIM/eUICC engineering, validation, certification, or a closely related technical field.

• Demonstrated experience with GSMA standards, particularly SGP.22 and SGP.32.

• Strong understanding of UICC/eUICC architecture, profile lifecycle, and OTA/provisioning processes.

• Experience in designing and executing test strategies using certification-style artefacts such as SAIP, BAP, or similar.

• Capability to debug complex issues across SIM, device, and network layers and coordinate resolutions with multiple stakeholders.
