Lead Upgrade Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of current Care Communications environments and create upgrade strategies that consider software, hardware, network, and integration needs.

• Oversee and implement upgrades across Baxter Care Communications products within intricate customer settings.

• Conduct technical dialogues and site evaluations with customer IT teams focusing on network architecture, failover strategies, server deployments, and system design factors.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate system, application, database, infrastructure, and networking challenges across various product platforms.

• Collaborate with Product Development, Project Management, and Technical Support teams to uncover root causes, enhance product offerings, and elevate customer satisfaction.

• Offer mentorship, technical expertise, and primary escalation support to Remote Upgrade Engineers.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, process evaluations, and change management efforts aimed at boosting team efficiency and deployment quality.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software, systems administration, infrastructure, networking, or similar technical fields.

• Extensive experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and interconnected enterprise systems.

• Proficient experience in deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux-based environments, including Kubernetes platforms.

• Experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems within production settings.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, managed networks, client-server architecture, and network security.

• Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and their corresponding security protocols.

• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting complex enterprise environments that involve hardware, software, databases, applications, and network infrastructure.

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
