This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and execute control systems for a variety of applications.
• Create network architecture, cause and effect diagrams, and control philosophies for comprehensive automation and process control systems.
• Utilize control theory, automation, and programming expertise to build efficient and dependable systems.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices as needed.
• Develop and execute control algorithms and software utilizing Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram programming.
• Assess and validate control systems against established performance criteria.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within control systems.
• Implement strategies to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Install, configure, and test software systems on-site during the startup and commissioning phases.
• Evaluate system performance to boost production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, stakeholders, specialists, and clients.
• Convey technical information clearly and effectively.
• Design and implement control systems with safety in mind, supporting safety protocols and procedures.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in control systems and startup/commissioning.
• Strong grasp of control theory, automation, and programming principles.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with low voltage controls is necessary.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills in English with customers and colleagues.
• Commitment to working safely and contributing to a safety-oriented team.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Schneider, DeltaV, Wonderware, OPC Systems SCADA, or related PLC/HMI/DCS systems is required.
• Industry experience in sectors such as Semiconductor, Oil and Gas, Utilities, Agriculture, Metals, Mining, Paper, Data Centers, Health Care, or Food and Beverage is preferred.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel out-of-town with regular overnight stays.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical examination when required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and a record of good driving history are essential.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without the need for employer-sponsored visa.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
