This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• The Tech team within the Ford Customer Service Division is seeking a dynamic and impactful Senior Product Designer.
• The ideal candidate should be inherently collaborative—ready to lead, implement, refine, and adapt both their work and processes based on feedback from various stakeholders.
• A passion for user experience is essential, along with a desire to collaborate with a highly skilled and engaged team.
• This role provides the chance to design and enhance digital experiences for both internal and external audiences, leveraging cutting-edge automotive technology and support solutions.
• It is crucial to balance business objectives while consistently prioritizing our users and their goals.
• You will oversee the user experience strategy for website initiatives, including web-based software.
• Collaboration with multiple product teams across Ford is expected, where you will take on a leadership position working alongside various designers.
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or 4+ years of experience in digital and software design.
• At least 1 year of experience in leading and mentoring UX designers (either directly or indirectly) by showcasing best practices in design communication and methodologies, as well as sharing your expertise with others.
• A Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Service Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (e.g., Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Human Factors, etc.).
• Capable of earning trust, nurturing positive and professional relationships, and fostering a culture of inclusion within a remote and dynamic work environment.
• Proven expertise in UX design across all phases of various projects.
• Experience in delivering projects from conception through execution and refinement.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence, and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and engineers. Proven experience in developing relationships, credibility, and proactive communication with team members and leaders.
• Ability to articulate the value of product features and recognize trade-offs to deliver effective digital products.
