Senior Trial Vendor Manager – UK, Ireland, France

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for managing all vendor-related components of global clinical trials to achieve study objectives within the defined schedule, budget, and quality/compliance standards.

• Actively identify and manage risks and potential issues related to vendors.

• Work closely with the study team lead and team members throughout the study lifecycle.

• Evaluate vendor-related sections of protocols during the development phase.

• Manage interactions with vendors in conjunction with vendor partner functions.

• Assist in contract negotiations when necessary.

• Responsible for controlling vendor costs, reviewing budgets, reconciling invoices, and closing purchase orders.

• Ensure that vendors fulfill quality and service level expectations in their trial deliverables.

• Participate in vendor kick-off meetings for categories supported by VSM.

• Track site activation progress and resolve associated issues and risks.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required, with a preference for an advanced degree.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with a solid understanding of clinical operation processes and vendor management.

• Strong knowledge of GxP and ICH regulations.

• Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial design and its alignment with supplier requirements.

• Experience in User Acceptance Testing for e-COA and IRT systems.

• Exceptional vendor management capabilities, including outsourcing, contracting, and sourcing of clinical services.

• Results-oriented: Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule.

• Strong influencing and negotiation abilities.

• Excellent relationship-building skills along with effective written and verbal communication.

• Adept at problem-solving, negotiation, meeting deadlines, and resolving conflicts.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills (team player).

• Strong organizational insight, advanced planning, and project management proficiency.

• Demonstrated networking skills and the ability to share knowledge and experiences with colleagues.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
