Senior Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage a comprehensive inventory of intricate litigated files, which includes discovery, arbitration, mediation, and trials.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys.

• Oversee all stages of personal injury litigation, encompassing investigation, discovery, motions, arbitration hearings, and jury trials.

• Engage in and take responsibility for complex legal matters or projects, including those outside of litigation.

• Act as a resource and address significant issues within the legal specialty area with a high level of autonomy.

• Anticipate and counsel on potential legal challenges that could substantially affect insurance and motor club operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in insurance defense practice with substantial courtroom and first-chair trial experience.

• Juris Doctorate and a valid license to practice law in California are required.

• Expertise in personal injury litigation, including liability assessment, causation, damages, and the tri-partite relationship.

• Capability to work collaboratively with assigned paralegal(s) and support staff.

• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and online research tools.

• Ability to efficiently manage a case inventory of complex cases.

• Advanced analytical and legal skills, with the capacity to think and act independently in the best interest of the client.

• Knowledge and appreciation of legal ethics.
