Senior Transportation Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee a caseload of transportation bodily injury claims, encompassing both litigated and non-litigated cases.

• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve claims related to trucking and transportation, adhering to company protocols and regulatory standards.

• Manage claims involving long-haul trucking, semi-trucks, and commercial transportation liabilities.

• Examine coverage, evaluate liability, and establish suitable strategies for claim resolution.

• Collaborate with defense attorneys and assist in litigation management as required.

• Retain responsibility for bodily injury claims and related property damage throughout the claim's duration.

• Ensure precise and timely documentation within the claims management system.

• Engage professionally with insured parties, claimants, legal representatives, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Guarantee adherence to relevant state regulations and company policies.

• Negotiate settlements and facilitate efficient claim resolution strategies.

• Guide and mentor junior team members, providing claims handling assistance as appropriate.

• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing transportation bodily injury claims is essential.

• Familiarity with long-haul trucking, semi-truck, or heavy transportation claims is highly advantageous.

• Experience in commercial transportation, including limousine, shuttle, or tour bus claims, is beneficial.

• Background in litigated bodily injury claims is necessary.

• Capability to independently oversee a caseload of approximately 115 to 120 claims.

• Experience with insurance carriers is highly beneficial; Third Party Administrator (TPA) experience is also accepted.

• Proficient in evaluating liability, damages, coverage, and settlement strategies.

• An active adjuster license is mandatory.

• Multi-jurisdictional licensing is an asset.

• Licensing or claims experience in New York and California is highly advantageous.

• Ability to work during Central or Eastern time zone business hours is beneficial.
