Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute tasks including coverage analysis, letter writing, investigation, incident response, evaluation, ensuring reserve adequacy and timeliness, maintenance of diaries, management of defense and coverage counsel, reinsurance reporting, and claim resolution.

• Proactively oversee claims and litigation while providing exceptional customer service.

• Maintain consistent communication with customers, brokers, and cross-functional departments.

• Prepare claim presentations, both written and verbal; secure authority and/or devise suitable action plans for challenging claims.

• Promote claim services and organize as well as participate in presentations for customers or prospects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in claims handling; at least 1 year of Cyber experience is mandatory.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is preferred.

• Must obtain and maintain the necessary adjuster licenses.

• Strong proficiency in coverage, claim evaluation, and negotiation.

• Outstanding organizational and presentation abilities.

• Experience collaborating in a team environment and working across various groups.

• SCLA, AIC, or CPCU certification is preferred.
