This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Overseeing a diverse array of planning applications, appeals, and pre-application inquiries.
• Drafting various planning documents necessary to support applications, including sequential assessments and planning statements.
• Preparing and advancing applications through the planning process.
• Engaging with officials at Local Planning Authorities before, during, and after the application process.
• Communicating with pertinent parties regarding the progress of planning applications and any inquiries.
• Conducting site assessments to determine development potential, which includes site inspections, thorough reviews of planning histories, policy analysis and interpretation, as well as consideration of material factors.
• Evaluating the planning merits of a site and developing planning strategies to advocate for medium- and long-term development sites throughout the plan-making process.
• Preparing and submitting client-approved representations for development plan documents within established timelines.
• Compiling and coordinating evidence to support the designation of sites/areas for development and growth during examinations.
• More than five years of post-qualification experience in planning.
• Strong understanding of client relationship management.
• Exceptional presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workloads, budgets, and project coordination effectively.
• Confidence and competence across various planning disciplines.
• Experience in rural planning is advantageous but not mandatory; however, an understanding of rural planning issues is appreciated.
