This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Reviews the chain of title primarily for residential properties, with the potential to include commercial and/or industrial properties.
• Conducts title examinations for complex title orders that necessitate a high degree of title expertise.
• Abstracts and evaluates records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to ascertain ownership and legal restrictions, as well as to confirm the legal description of property and completeness of records.
• Composes title products based on the interpretation and application of established procedural guidelines.
• Offers underwriting interpretation within set guidelines.
• Provides mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members.
• May involve customer interactions.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Generally requires over 5 years of directly related experience and a proven mastery of relevant resources, skills, and knowledge.
• Experience in Tennessee Title Examination.
• Possession of multiple state licenses (as mandated by state regulations).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Proficient problem-solving skills.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Familiarity with legal terminology used in title documents.
• Capable of reading and interpreting legal descriptions related to title orders.
