Senior Threat Intelligence Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary subject-matter expert in Threat Intelligence and help define the research direction of the team.

• Convert research findings into innovative or enhanced protection strategies for the NordVPN Threat Protection product.

• Collaborate with Marketing and PR to deliver data-informed insights on cybersecurity trends.

• Provide brief, evidence-backed insights on social media regarding emerging threats.

• Assist in scripting short video explainers and participate on camera as needed.

• Work alongside Data Science and Engineering teams to enhance ML-driven Threat Intelligence.

• Suggest and facilitate the onboarding of new tools, data sources, and processes that boost the efficiency and consistency of Threat Intelligence.

• Mentor and guide junior researchers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of practical experience in the Threat Intelligence sector.

• Comfortable with publicly sharing insights (e.g., through social media, blogs, or presentations).

• Profound understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, including collection, enrichment, pivoting, and dissemination of threat indicators and behaviors.

• Capability to perform research on protection enhancements that yield a clear, reasoned, evidence-based action plan.

• A strong curiosity and passion for cybersecurity, with a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends.

• Bonus Points: Experience collaborating with Data Scientists on model development; previous media exposure on Threat Intelligence subjects.
