Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather intelligence to identify potential threats and create risk assessments tailored to client requirements.

• Investigate both current and emerging issues related to physical security, cybersecurity, geopolitical factors, reputation risks, and compliance.

• Learn and apply ZeroFox's patented technology to analyze online information according to client-specific criteria.

• Compile findings for daily intelligence updates and regular reporting.

• Assist with customer service and production tasks related to assigned responsibilities.

• Support or lead the creation of security alerts, intelligence reports, trend analyses, strategic assessments, and client briefings.

• Work collaboratively with Collection Management and 24/7 support to improve collection processes.

• Provide assistance during sudden threats and times of heightened risk.

• Conduct special investigations and evaluations as required.

• Monitor threats outside of regular business hours when necessary.

• Engage in professional growth through company training, industry certifications, and relevant educational opportunities.

• Identify and suggest operational improvements and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in open-source and social media research or investigations.

• Ability to connect disparate information effectively.

• Innovative in applying Internet search techniques and strategies.

• Skill in evaluating the credibility, value, significance, and relevance of information from various data sources.

• Capability to produce clear, concise, and timely analytical reports.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable delivering briefings and presentations.

• Experience creating both short- and long-form reports using BLUF or similar frameworks.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in team settings.

• Familiarity with social media platforms, blogs, IRC, deep/dark web, and online forums.

• Proficiency in collecting, authenticating, validating, and documenting online evidence.

• Experience with at least one online investigative tool, such as Whois, Ping, or Traceroute.

• Proficient in Google Suite applications.

• Preferred experience in public or private sectors as an analyst, researcher, investigator, or consultant in support of security, risk, or due diligence functions.

• Preferred experience in conducting studies and making recommendations regarding threat vectors, actors, and trends.

• Experience briefing decision-makers and senior leaders is preferred.

• Familiarity with social media platforms, blogs, IRC, message boards, and the deep/dark web is preferred.

• Knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, DNS records, email headers, and P2P technology is preferred.

• Strong project/team leadership, development, and client relationship skills are preferred.

• Awareness of relevant threat landscapes or industry-specific practices is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework is preferred.

• Proficiency in Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Korean, Spanish, German, or Farsi is preferred but not mandatory.
