Senior Threat Behavior Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive behavioral analysis of Windows threats.

• Create Behavioral rules for various threat activities, including hands-on keyboard attacks, malware payloads, initial attack vectors, and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).

• Generate high-quality threat analysis reports for both internal and external audiences.

• Contribute to sandbox enhancements by assessing malware that obstructs the sandbox environment from executing the threat, which employs various anti-analysis techniques.

• Formulate Cleanup rules to eliminate artifacts left behind by the behavioral protection rules.

• Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams to enhance behavioral protection capabilities based on threat analysis findings.

• Mentor and train junior team members in malware analysis and conduct peer code reviews.

• Support the development of tools as needed to streamline daily tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Windows Internals, including memory management, processes, and threads.

• Expertise in both static and dynamic threat analysis using tools such as IDAPro and WinDbg.

• Proven programming experience, preferably in Python and Lua.

• Strong communication skills with the capacity to convey complex technical issues to peer researchers and the product engineering team.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and creative mindset.

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer software (preferably in Computer Security) or equivalent experience.
