Senior Third-Party Collection Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee collection efforts for designated third-party portfolios, including financial loan accounts.

• Perform professional collection calls with overdue customers and negotiate payment arrangements in line with established client guidelines and risk parameters.

• Utilize advanced collection techniques to address delinquent accounts while keeping a customer-centric approach.

• Evaluate account risk and escalate accounts that require further action.

• Precisely document collection activities, account updates, payment commitments, and arrangements within collection systems.

• Leverage strong negotiation, objection handling, and problem-solving abilities to effectively navigate challenging discussions.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, client expectations, and industry best practices.

• Regularly meet individual collection goals and contribute to the department's performance objectives.

• Foster team success through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a dedication to operational excellence.

• Undertake additional collection-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Third-Party Collection Agency.

• Previous experience with Schedule A Bank portfolios is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated success in managing high-performing frontline collection teams and meeting performance goals.

• Strong history of performance with a proven commitment to compliance and quality standards.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conducting productive collection discussions.

• Proficient negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes and secure payment agreements.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.

• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
