This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Engage in the full testing lifecycle, including planning, design, scripting, execution, review, and witnessing in a dynamic, agile development setting.
• Create, develop, and execute thorough manual test cases, scenarios, and test data for both web and mobile applications.
• Conduct exploratory, usability, and ad-hoc testing to identify defects that extend beyond the scope of scripted tests.
• Generate and uphold detailed test documentation, such as test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Assist in the design, development, and upkeep of automated test scripts where relevant (experience with Playwright or similar tools is advantageous).
• Carry out validation and verification tasks to ensure alignment with FDA standards, GxPs, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
• Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing across various platforms.
• Oversee bug tracking, defect reporting, and communication of test progress via test management tools (JIRA and Xray).
• Actively engage in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Review the work of less experienced team members and offer mentorship on best testing practices.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, written documentation, and progress updates.
• Maintain a sharp focus on detail and accuracy, dedicated to excellence in all deliverables.
• Continually seek enhancements in testing processes, methodologies, and automation coverage.
• Monitor quality metrics, identify root causes of quality issues, and take responsibility for their resolution.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, SOPs, behaviors, and ethical standards at all times.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to tackle complex testing challenges.
• Set ambitious goals, prioritize tasks efficiently, and navigate obstacles to achieve outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously with minimal oversight.
• Adapt swiftly to shifting priorities and respond constructively to change.
• Consistently meet commitments, accept responsibility, uphold high personal standards, and maintain focus under pressure.
• At least 5 years of experience in manual software testing, quality engineering, and validation.
• Strong proficiency in test case design, execution, defect lifecycle management, and reporting.
• Practical experience with JIRA and Xray for managing tests and tracking defects.
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications across various platforms.
• Experience collaborating directly with Software Developers in an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Familiarity with the drug development process and FDA requirements for GxPs and 21 CFR Part 11 (preferred).
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge and experience in test automation, with hands-on Playwright experience highly regarded.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with clinical trials and/or in a pharmaceutical/regulated environment.
