Senior Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with experience in federal application sustainment, IV&V support, smoke testing, regression testing, release validation, and test documentation.

• Responsibilities include the development of Smoke Test Scripts & Reports, creation of test and validation scripts for critical modules, testing of release change packages, and patch/configuration change testing.

• Duties involve pre-production validation, conducting smoke tests during production downtime windows, defect triage, tracking severity 1/2 defects, regression testing, providing user acceptance support, ensuring traceability to user stories, utilizing automated test tools when available, and validating ServiceNow tickets.

• The Performance Work Statement (PWS) mandates that a Smoke Test Script & Report be produced following each release change package, patch, or configuration change, incorporating standardized Test & Validation scripts that cover essential modules and functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in software testing, IV&V, QA, or test engineering on production applications is required.

• Candidates should have experience in creating test scripts, executing smoke, regression, and functional tests, documenting test outcomes, supporting release validation, and collaborating with developers during defect resolution.

• Strong preference for candidates with testing experience in Entellitrak/Tyler, Java/JEE case management, Health IT, DoD, DHA, workflow systems, reporting systems, SQL-backed applications, and identity/authentication changes.

• Preferred certifications include ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, SAFe/Agile, Security+, SQL, or test automation certification.
