
Senior Territory Representative, Companion Animal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Engages with customers regarding our product offerings in a way that is meaningful and tailored to each individual; personalizes conversations and interactions based on an understanding of customer requirements.
• Serves as the primary contact for designated customers, meeting with key stakeholders/decision makers to comprehend practice structure, business model, key influencers (Owner/Practice Manager/Key Tech/Associate Vet/Front office staff), customer requirements, and to identify business opportunities.
• Formulates a customer strategy that outlines the approach for interactions/relationships, solutions, partner involvement, and potential offerings for customers, leading to sales opportunities and growth in account sales of Animal Health products and services.
• Creates territory and specific account plans for all major customers.
• Collaborates with National Account Managers, the Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners to maintain a strong emphasis on key accounts and corporate-owned clinics to drive occupancy and sales growth.
• Works in partnership with all species teams to promote our Company's approach and enhance knowledge of the complete Animal Health product portfolio.
• Shares insights with team members within the region to encourage growth and development within the team.
• Reviews monthly sales performance and manages expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Identifies and selects programs/services from Animal Health’s available resources to meet customer needs and provide educational and training opportunities to accounts.
• Collaborates with leadership and Field Professional Services to design and deliver relevant offerings that meet customer requirements.
• Cultivates a current understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
• Effectively articulates and communicates pertinent customer, industry, product, and market trends throughout the organization.
• Accountable for establishing and achieving learning and development objectives agreed upon with leadership.
• High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years of sales or equivalent experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of sales experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven motivation and focus on achieving measurable and tangible outcomes.
• Commitment to collaboration as the standard approach to working and resolving challenges.
• Demonstrated understanding of the position’s contribution to business goals and a willingness to adapt to changes in current processes to meet customer needs.
• Proven ability to independently recognize customers’ evolving needs and expectations, combining this with knowledge of customers’ organizations and cultures to drive results.
• Effective application of sales techniques and methods, managing multiple customers/accounts at various stages of the sales process while articulating the value of Animal Health products using approved resources.
• Proven ability to independently identify, develop, and manage a diverse mix of accounts within a territory, including complex accounts, and to create plans based on unique opportunities and customer needs.
• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to use an iPad.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel overnight and engage in some weekend activities.
