
Senior Territory Manager, Independent Agency Channel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Manage a specific state or group of states while enhancing the volume and quality of business sourced from independent agencies.
• Meet and exceed production goals related to bound premium and policy count.
• Develop, categorize, and oversee a target agency list.
• Formulate and adjust territory strategies.
• Keep updated pipeline views of appointed agencies, quoting patterns, and bound premium data.
• Monitor performance against objectives, identify shortfalls promptly, and modify action plans accordingly.
• Carry out and document in-person visits to agencies, conduct lunch-and-learn sessions, and attend local events.
• Foster personal relationships with agency owners and producers.
• Obtain specific production commitments from key agencies.
• Articulate Branch’s value proposition, market appetite, and unique selling points.
• Instruct agencies on Branch’s preferred risk profile and promote quality quoting practices.
• Train agency representatives to utilize Branch’s quoting platform prior to using comparative raters.
• Activate, retain, and re-engage active producing agencies.
• Address objections from agencies and shoppers effectively.
• Provide insights on competitive intelligence, pricing challenges, and product deficiencies to Branch.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to tackle territory-specific challenges.
• Report directly to the Director of Territory Management.
• A minimum of 5 years in a sales role with quotas or targets, managing a designated geography or book of business.
• Preference for candidates with experience in independent agency distribution, field sales, SaaS sales, or similar business development roles.
• Proven track record of accountability to specific production metrics.
• Experience in influencing independent professionals through product or service selection.
• Existing connections with independent agencies in the assigned state(s) are advantageous.
• Comfort and experience in managing a high-travel, self-directed field schedule.
• Strong skills in in-person presentations and group training.
• Ability to build credibility and rapport with agency owners and producers.
• Proficient in consultative selling and capable of identifying production barriers and opportunities.
• Ability to learn and educate others about a technical, regulated product.
• Experience in P&C insurance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Expected to master underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow within the first quarter.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Must not require employment visa sponsorship, transfer, renewal, extension, or status change.
• Willingness to meet 50–70% travel requirements within the territory.
