Senior Telco Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with project teams and customers to achieve project timelines and objectives.

• Assist in the creation of project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance, ticketing, and bug management.

• Provide mentorship and share expertise with clients.

• Advise telecommunications clients on implementing automation strategies and DevOps practices to enhance cloud lifecycle management, infrastructure reliability, application uptime, availability, and market readiness.

• Evaluate client business needs and convert them into technology, system, and application designs that align with their long-term goals.

• Lead architectural design initiatives and workshops.

• Integrate systems and technologies to fulfill end-customer requirements.

• Design and promote cloud technology solutions using sound design principles, integration methods, automation, and orchestration.

• Foster customer trust through both in-person and virtual interactions.

• Coordinate efforts across various teams, including Red Hat Product, Product Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales.

• Act as a customer advocate to deliver innovative, dependable, and supported solutions.

• Travel to customer locations as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in a relevant technology role.

• Over 4 years of experience with public cloud and Linux technologies.

• More than 4 years of experience with telecommunications technologies and networking infrastructure.

• At least 2 years of experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, ACM, ACS, Quay, Ceph, or Kubernetes.

• Comprehensive understanding of NFV, DPDK, SR-IOV, ZTP, cloud SDN, or storage disciplines, as well as DevOps methodologies and technologies.

• Experience with FiberChannel/FCoE, iSCSI, NFS, or other software-defined storage technologies.

• Extensive experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and design.

• Familiarity with KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization, and VMware.

• Experience with AppDev automation and pipelines, including Jenkins, Tekton, or ArgoCD.

• Knowledge of VLANs, routing protocols, 4G/5G, IPAM solutions, and load balancers.

• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions using public and private cloud infrastructure technologies and providers.

• Interest in and knowledge of AI/ML technologies and recent advancements.

• Admin-level familiarity with vSphere, RHV, Nutanix, or OpenStack.

• Advanced knowledge of VMware infrastructure, including ESX, vCenter, switches/NSX, datastores, vSAN, vVols, vRealize, SRM, and backup software.

• Familiarity with Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, backup software, and performance tools.

• Experience with OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Microsoft Hyper-V, AWS, and Microsoft Azure is advantageous.

• Background in the telecommunications sector.

• Ability to work in the United States or Canada near a major airport.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

• Must manage confidential or sensitive customer information in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy regulations.
