Senior Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the customer documentation platform, overseeing information architecture, authoring workflow, review procedures, publishing, and search functionalities.

• Develop and maintain integration guides for the various supported data and alert sources.

• Create administration and governance documentation tailored for enterprise and MSSP clients, covering aspects such as tenant management, access control, API keys, audit trails, and authorization for response actions.

• Manage API reference and documentation aimed at developers, utilizing source-generated documentation whenever feasible.

• Compose release notes that outline changes, benefits, and known limitations.

• Clarify AI-generated outputs, detailing investigation structure, evidence, uncertainty, and system constraints.

• Collaborate with customer success and support teams to pinpoint and rectify documentation deficiencies.

• Establish a style guide and implement a docs-as-code workflow.

• Engage directly with product, engineering, customer success, and sales engineering teams.

• Report directly to the Head of Product.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience focused on software products aimed at technical buyers.

• At least 2 years of experience in documenting APIs, integrations, or products related to infrastructure.

• Proficiency in docs-as-code methodologies, including Git, Markdown, and familiarity with at least one static documentation framework such as Docusaurus, MkDocs, Mintlify, or similar.

• Capability to read code and API specifications accurately, identifying any discrepancies between implementation and documentation.

• A portfolio that showcases the ability to convey complex systems to practitioners under time constraints.

• Experience in conducting interviews with engineers and product managers to extract comprehensive information.

• Strong editorial judgment.

• Proven experience in managing a documentation set from start to finish, including information architecture and ongoing maintenance.

• Preference for focused ownership and deep integration within a product team.

• A mindset suited to early-stage startups; comfort with ambiguity and rapid execution.

• A data-driven approach.

• Preferred experience in the cybersecurity or security operations domain.

• Experience documenting AI or ML products is preferred.

• Background in Series A–C stage companies is preferred.

• Familiarity with documentation analytics and support ticket data is preferred.

• Knowledge of structured authoring or content reuse systems is preferred.
