Senior Technical Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Improve, oversee, and assist with the underwriting logic and data within our instant decision underwriting platform.

• Perform audits to assess the performance and functionality of our platform and evaluate decisions made by third-party and internal underwriters.

• Track underwriting metrics and data to pinpoint opportunities and suggest enhancements.

• Develop and refine the carrier implementation framework.

• Contribute to the evolution of product features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in production life insurance underwriting.

• At least 1 year of experience with underwriting rules engines.

• FALU, FLMI, or CLU designations are preferred.

• Strong technical expertise, with a focus on data analysis proficiency.

• Practical experience in integrating and analyzing data from industry-standard vendors to enhance underwriting processes.

• Experience in conducting underwriting audits.

• Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• A solid understanding of the legal and compliance frameworks related to life insurance and underwriting.
