Senior Technical Program Manager, Propulsion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire propulsion program roadmap encompassing development, testing, parts procurement, assembly, and ongoing production processes.

• Act as the main connection to the product group, guiding strategic product choices.

• Ensure consistent supply chains and well-organized kitting for thruster manufacturing.

• Monitor the timeline requirements for specific spacecraft missions and keep production on track.

• Make informed decisions about the timing of product upgrades.

• Maintain effective communication with engineering leads, managers, and executives.

• Oversee thruster customer relationships by understanding their challenges and providing transparent updates.

• Convert high-level mission specifications into testing objectives and validation strategies.

• Collaborate propulsion efforts with machine shop, mechanical engineering, and electrical integration teams.

• Keep an eye on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform company-wide decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or program management settings.

• A relevant degree in engineering, physical sciences, or a similar technical discipline.

• A demonstrated history of successfully navigating complex organizational structures, managing tight deadlines, and balancing competing priorities across various functional teams.

• Direct knowledge of space propulsion architectures and components.

• Hands-on experience with space systems development or spacecraft integration.

• Practical experience in test campaigns, hardware manufacturing, or production processes.

• Must comply with applicable U.S. Government export regulations for access to export-controlled information: must be a U.S. person, eligible without export authorization, or eligible and likely to obtain authorization.
