Senior Technical Product Manager, Doc Platform – AI Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the platform vision and gain a thorough understanding of the architecture, capabilities, and limitations across all owning and consuming teams.

• Collaborate with platform engineers and technical leads to outline requirements, constraints, and success criteria for platform investments, integrating infrastructure capabilities and customer needs into precise, actionable specifications.

• Work closely with backend engineering, infrastructure teams, and data science to enhance efficiency, improve consistency, streamline processing, and align document management functionality with the overall platform.

• Lead the adoption and migration strategy for platform functionality, fostering influence, showcasing value, and building consensus to guide teams towards collective solutions.

• Oversee and optimize performance, latency, cost-to-serve, and core engineering metrics. In partnership with machine learning engineers, monitor AI platform outcomes, including data extraction accuracy, ingestion throughput, indexing latency, and search precision/recall.

• Actively promote awareness of document platform capabilities throughout the organization. Provide mentorship to Associate and mid-level Product Managers in technical product processes, data-driven decision-making, and infrastructure leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software product management experience in SaaS, with a proven history of managing technically complex products or platforms. Candidates with less experience but strong relevant domain knowledge (e.g., document management systems, search and indexing infrastructure, RAG or LLM pipelines, or legal technology) will be seriously considered.

• Proven understanding of software development methodologies and sufficient technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineers on topics such as document processing pipelines, full-text and vector search, or content extraction, with a particular emphasis on responsibly and securely delivering data-heavy or AI/ML-adjacent features at scale.

• Comfort in navigating a complex, multi-team environment and experience managing platform or shared-service products where adoption is driven by value rather than mandates, including the ability to build consensus across teams, navigate competing priorities, and manage intricate cross-team migrations.

• Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven mindset, with experience in defining and tracking core product outcomes (adoption, accuracy, user confidence) alongside the capability to discern where platform investments yield compounding leverage versus where they may introduce unnecessary constraints or overhead.

• Significant experience within Agile/Lean delivery frameworks, emphasizing technical experimentation, iteration, and ongoing system improvement.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to translate complex technical trade-offs and AI concepts into clear narratives for both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
