This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in establishing engineering standards and operational procedures for a growing ecosystem of internally developed applications and AI-driven tools.
• Provide support to internal developers utilizing Claude Code and related AI development environments by offering guidance on source control, modular design, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintainability.
• Aid in the implementation of production-grade operational practices across internal systems, which include monitoring, alerting, incident response, deployment workflows, environment management, uptime management, and post-incident review processes.
• Maintain and enhance the company's Azure Fabric Lakehouse architecture, covering bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Construct and monitor ingestion pipelines, boost reliability and observability, address data quality concerns, and assist in translating business inquiries into well-structured reporting datasets and semantic layers.
• Collaborate directly with operational, billing, credentialing, and clinical leadership to support reporting requests, operational tools, and scalable self-service data access.
• Over 4 years of experience in building and supporting production software systems, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including Git workflows, testing, modular architecture, debugging, and code reviews.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience in creating and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Comfortable operating across both application engineering and data engineering domains.
• Experience in supporting or deploying internal operational software systems.
• Knowledge of modern AI-assisted development workflows and tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar environments.
• Understanding of security and governance principles for regulated or sensitive data environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with non-technical stakeholders.
