Senior Technical Product Manager

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Vision and Strategy: Establish and execute a long-term vision for our portfolio of workload assets. You will create a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap that aligns with the overarching objectives of the engineering organization.

• Represent the Developer's Perspective: Serve as the main point of contact between the Product team and our engineering team. Convert high-level business goals into actionable technical roadmaps, identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies, and collaborate closely with the Iteration Manager to synchronize delivery timelines.

• Propel the Roadmap: Convert intricate technical requirements and user demands into a prioritized backlog of well-defined user stories, epics, and product specifications. You will operate within an agile framework to ensure a continuous stream of value for our customers.

• Advocate for the Product: Promote the platform's vision and services throughout the organization. Foster adoption and enablement by collaborating with developers to create clear documentation, best practices, and training resources.

• Oversee the Asset Lifecycle: Manage the complete lifecycle of our workload assets—from assessing new technologies and market trends to version management and planning the smooth deprecation of outdated systems.

• Analyze and Evaluate: Establish and analyze metrics that gauge the success of your products, including developer satisfaction, reliability, performance, and total cost of ownership. Leverage this data to refine your product strategy.

• Drive AI Transformation: Develop the business case for continuous investment in AI, track unit economics, lead cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML engineers, and deliver AI solutions.

• Influence Through Leadership: Work closely with key stakeholders in security, compliance, finance, and application development to ensure our workload assets are secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in product management, demonstrating a successful history of developing and delivering products for developers (e.g., APIs, infrastructure, platform services), with at least 1 year of experience leading AI, ML, or data products. Experience in taking AI solutions from concept to scale is crucial.

• A robust technical foundation with practical experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure/cloud architecture. You should feel confident leading technical discussions on subjects such as system design, APIs, and database architecture. Strong technical insight with the ability to evaluate AI/ML methodologies, assess feasibility, engage in discussions about trade-offs with data scientists and engineers, and make informed decisions based on trade-offs. Capability to participate in technical discussions without being a hands-on coder.

• Extensive knowledge of the public cloud ecosystem, especially AWS. You should have a solid understanding of services such as RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, IAM, and the trade-offs associated with them.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying a compelling vision and explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, both internal (existing solutions) and external (cloud provider offerings, open-source technologies), to inform build-vs-buy decisions.

• A customer-centric mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for enhancing developers' experiences.

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
