This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will oversee the “Core Reliability & Connectivity” roadmap and serve as the main liaison between our engineering team and business stakeholders.
• You will convert intricate technical challenges (such as refactoring, security, and protocol updates) into concrete business value and incorporate them into the official roadmap.
• Collaborating closely with the Lead Software Architect and the Agile Delivery Lead, you will define requirements for advanced features (including OPC UA, MQTT, and container architecture).
• You will manage the balance between feature excitement and technical debt to ensure sustainable platform stability.
• You will take complete ownership of the technical backlog and guarantee that the engineering team focuses on the agreed-upon priorities.
• Technical background (essential): A degree in Computer Science or a related qualification, or several years of experience as a developer or solution architect.
• Strong understanding of APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and software and system architectures.
• A minimum of 5 years of product management experience in B2B software solutions, preferably in Industrial IoT, edge computing, or cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, and S7, along with message brokers like MQTT or Kafka.
• The ability to critically evaluate technical decisions at an engineering level while maintaining a constructive and collaborative working relationship.
• Excellent German language skills (at least C1 level) are required.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with the Azure Marketplace and cloud integrations.
• A basic understanding of cybersecurity, particularly concerning IEC 62443.
• Experience transitioning “waterfall” or “pull”-based work models to agile working methods and processes.
