Senior Technical Data Architect – Telco, Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive data platform architecture and set technical standards for data engineering teams.

• Create and execute batch and real-time/streaming data architectures.

• Define Lakehouse architecture, utilize open table formats, and develop query engine solutions.

• Architect real-time data serving and OLAP solutions.

• Set standards for ETL pipelines, schema evolution, data quality, data lineage, and access control.

• Design scalable, cost-efficient, and multi-tenant data platforms.

• Work with self-managed and on-premises infrastructure.

• Partner with data engineering and technical teams to ensure the proper implementation of architecture standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Data Architecture and Data Warehousing.

• Proficient in ETL processes.

• Familiarity with Apache Spark.

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka.

• Experience with Apache Airflow.

• Understanding of Lakehouse Architecture.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Strong comprehension of batch and streaming processing.

• Knowledge of open table formats and query engines.

• In-depth knowledge of data governance, lineage, quality, and access control.

• Experience in designing systems for scalability, cost optimization, and multi-tenancy.

• Experience in the Telco or Banking sector is essential.

• Familiarity with Data Mesh or Data Product operating models is a plus.

• Experience in supporting multiple client deployments of the same data platform is a plus.
